Flagstone and fieldstone patios, dry-stacked or mortared walls that hold back a slope in Biltmore Forest or West Asheville clay. We grade for drainage before we ever set a stone.

Native plantings
Beds built around serviceberry, mountain laurel and little bluestem, chosen for the site's sun, soil and deer pressure rather than a catalog. Plantings we've put in years ago are still filling out in Montford and Weaverville yards today.

Outdoor lighting
Low-voltage lighting along steps, walls and paths, run so you can see the yard after dark without floodlighting the neighbours. Wired in during construction, not bolted on after.

From the first walk of your yard to the crew who returns each season.

Walk the site
We meet you outside and look at the slope, the drainage, the soil and what's already growing. You tell us how you use the space and what's not working.
Design and price it
We draw the patio, wall or planting plan to scale and price it in stone, plants and labor, so you know the real cost before anything is dug.
Build it
Our own crews cut the flagstone, set the walls and plant the beds. No subcontractors passing through, no disappearing after the deposit.
Walk it with you
Before we pack up, we walk the finished space together and go over how the plantings and lighting need to be cared for.
Stay on through the seasons
Most clients move to seasonal maintenance, so the same crew that built the space keeps the plantings and stonework right through the mountain winters.
